How to do terminal firmware upgrade

Depending on your current terminal version, there are 2 ways to do the upgrade. Moving forward, all latest terminal can be upgraded online or on the fly (method no. 2). NOTICE! Please contact your agent or agency before performing any upgrade.

Method 1 - manual upgrade (require agent or agency to perform the upgrade)
Method 2 - online upgrade (for firmware version N and above) - require stable network connection

A. HOW TO CHECK YOUR CURRENT TERMINAL FIRMWARE VERSION

Step 1 --> On the main screen, go to Tetapan / Setting --> Info (tap info button)

Step 2 --> The information will be display. Search the word "Ver : ....." located at line no. 5

B. HOW TO DO THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE

Method 1 - Manual upgrade

Step M1-1 - Download the latest firmware to your PC/Laptop. Click here to Download.

Step M1-2 - After download, Extract or Unzip the file.

Unzip the "U" folder

Step M1-3 – Open the UP Folder --> Copy the FW.bin file

Step M1-4 - Take out the SD Card from your terminal --> Insert the SD card to your laptop/computer.

Step M1-5 - Go to Computer --> Open the SD card folder --> Double click on the UP folder--> Paste the “FW.bin” file into the UP folder.  

Step M1-6  - Eject the SD card from your PC/Laptop. Put back the SD card to your terminal.

Step M1-7 - Start up your terminal, wait for GPRS to be connected (when G came out, ST: 80)

Step M1-8 - Once your terminal is connected, please do the following:-

Step M1-9 - Kemaskini --> Enter 113140 --> press Enter

Step M1-10 - Go to F1 --> Update Menu --> Reload --> Press Enter

Step M1-11 - Go to F2 --> Admin > Update Files > Full Update > Override (X) --> Done --> Enter

Step M1-12 - Go to F2 --> Admin > Reload Menu > Reload > Press Enter

REMEMBER DO NOT FORMAT SD CARD.
SD CARD ONLY FORMAT WHEN ITS CORRUPTED



Method 2 - For Online upgrade (required version 0.0.7 n and above) - Warning! Before proceeding, please ensure the network connection is stable --> No ralat or DNS fail issue

Step M2-1 - Go to Tetapan / Setting --> Kemaskini Perisian (Upgrade Firmware)

Step M2-2 - Enter the pin number (this Pin number will be given to the agent or agency)..then, press Enter

Step M2-3 - Follow the on-screen instruction.

Step M2-4 - Check the terminal info to confirm the version (refer to step A above)


Type the Pin number given and press Enter

Step M2-5 - Kemaskini --> Enter 113140 --> press Enter

Step M2-6 - Go to F1 --> Update Menu --> Reload --> Press Enter

Step M2-7 - Go to F2 --> Admin > Update Files > Full Update > Override (X) --> Done --> Enter

Step M2-8 - Go to F2 --> Admin > Reload Menu > Reload > Press Enter
